Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker competitor on the planet by quite a few of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before his first birthday. His grandfather taught him one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to discover whatever he possibly could about the game. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his success to discipline and an eternal love for poker. He states that he’s picking up skills every single day and is quite humble about his accomplishments. Phil knows he makes mistakes every single game of poker and constantly aspires to get better.

Although Ivey has come first in some big-time tournaments, he favors winning money games on a regular basis.
