Ok, that might appear to be a bit ubsurd, but poker is a game loaded with folklores. Did you realize that if you’re betting a game with 2 different decks and you are asked to select the deck, you should always choose the deck that’s furthest from you? Or, what If you have a streak of bad cards, you need to hang out on a hankerchief to destroy your horrible luck? It is certainly thought of as good fortune to blow through a pack of cards while they’re being shuffled.

- The luckiest seat at the poker table faces the entry.
- The worst chair has its back to a fireplace.
- When altering chairs, you need to always do so following the clock.

- Friday is a terrible day for wagering on cards.
- The thirteenth is also a terrible day, regardless of when it falls.
